MOTION

Motion simply means the change of position of a body with time. It exist in different forms and occurs in solids, liquid and gases.
TRANSLATIONAL (RECTILINEAR) MOTION: This type of motion occurs when an object moves in a straight line, e.g. Vehicles moving on a straight road etc.
CIRCULAR/CIRCULATORY MOTION: This type of motion occurs when objects moves in a circle (circular manner) or eliptical and rotates about its axis, e.g. The rotation of the earth about its axis, the rotation of the wheel of the vehicle about its axis etc.
OSCILATORY MOTION: This type of motion occurs when objects move to and fro in an arc manner about a fixed point, e.g. The swinging of a pedulum bob, the vibration of plucked guitar string etc.
